With the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign gaining momentum, political leaders have found a novel way to reach out to voters, by joining morning walkers in parks and public spaces.
Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar were among the prominent leaders who met morning walkers on Sunday (November 2, 2025), using the opportunity to explain their respective parties’ agendas and seek support for their candidates.

Meanwhile, BRS local leaders and MLAs, who have been assigned responsibilities for various divisions, for the poll campaign, also hit the roads early in the morning to interact with walkers and residents.
These impromptu and informal meetings have drawn a large number of walkers, who are engaging in lively conversations with political leaders. “This is a cost-effective and people-friendly outreach method, allowing us to connect with citizens without organising large gatherings or spending,” explains Mr. Ponnam Prabhakar, who is known to have such informal meetings even in his constituency on a regular basis.
Morning walk interactions have emerged as an effective medium of voter engagement, bringing together people of all age groups in a relaxed setting. Many walkers also share their suggestions on governance and local development issues during these casual exchanges.
The approach is proving to be mutually beneficial and is a good mix of fitness and politics. “For leaders, it offers a direct and personal connection with voters, and for the walkers, a chance to hear firsthand what political parties have to offer in the Jubilee Hills bypoll,” explains Marri Rajshekhar Reddy, Malkajgiri MLA, who is campaigning for the BRS candidate Maganti Suneeta.
Mr. Mahesh Kumar Goud and Ponnam Prabhakar participated in a morning walk at Krishnakant Park. Interacting with morning walkers, both leaders appealed to them to vote for Congress candidate Naveen Yadav and ensure his victory in the upcoming by-election.
Ponnam Prabhakar said that the development of Jubilee Hills is possible only under the Congress government, and urged citizens to support the party’s nominee to continue the progress being witnessed across the State.
Mr. Mahesh Goud described Naveen Yadav as a local, educated, and people-oriented leader who is always accessible to the public and committed to addressing their problems.
Mr. Kishan Reddy joined the walkers for a brief stroll at Krishnakant Park, engaging in light conversation and discussing local issues and development needs. During the interaction, people of all age groups enthusiastically posed for photographs with him.
Kishan Reddy appealed to the people to support and elect BJP candidate Lankala Deepak Reddy, stating that only the BJP could effectively address the issues faced by residents of Jubilee Hills. He alleged that the Congress, BRS, and AIMIM parties are hand-in-glove, driven purely by political interests rather than public welfare.
