In response to the devastating floods caused by incessant rainfall in the Telugu states, Tollywood celebrities have stepped up to provide significant financial aid. Leading the charge, Jr NTR announced a donation of Rs. 50 lakhs each to the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers’ Relief Funds. Following suit, Mahesh Babu also contributed Rs. 50 lakhs each to the relief efforts in both states.

The wave of generosity extended beyond seasoned stars, with younger actors like Vishwak Sen and Siddhu Jonnalagadda pledging Rs. 5 lakhs and Rs. 15 lakhs each, respectively, to both states’ relief funds. Veteran actor Balakrishna matched the larger donations, offering Rs. 50 lakhs each to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Producers and directors have also joined the cause. Ace producer Ashwini Dutt donated Rs. 25 lakhs to the Andhra Pradesh CM Relief Fund, while GA2 Pictures’ Bunny Vaas announced that 25% of the earnings from his film ‘Aay’ this week would go to the same fund. Directors Trivikram, Radhakrishna, and Naga Vamsi collectively pledged Rs. 25 lakhs each to both states, and director Venky Atluri donated Rs. 5 lakhs each to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

A notable producer commented, “Telugu stars and filmmakers have once again shown their compassion, stepping up to support the flood victims in both states. We hope more will join this noble cause.”
