The interview for the selection of the post of director (Finance) of RINL-Visakhapatnam steel plant will be held on March 21, according to a message to RINL’s CMD from the Ministry of Steel.

Twelve candidates have been called for the virtual interview between 3.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.

They are RINL’s existing staff — Chakka Manoj Kumar, Dileep Kumar Srivastava, Jammayya Aleti, Indala Uma Devi and Shunyabasi Behera, DNV Srinivasa Raju of HIL (India) Ltd, Mulagada Nanaji Achary of NTPC Tamil Nadu, Sudhiranjan Mohini of NTPC, Ravi Kumar Ponugumatla of NLC India Limited, Tarun Kumar Chopra of IOCL, Ram Krishna Mishra of KIOCL and Ashok Kumar Mall of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited.

It may be mentioned that Salim G. Purushothaman recently assumed charge as Director (operations) at RINL. A mechanical engineer, Mr. Purushothaman started his career as a management trainee (technical), SAIL, Bokaro in the year 1988 and worked in the area of Thermal power plant till 1996 when he joined RINL.

At RINL, he made significant contributions in the area of import substitution of high value Russian spares of boilers and turbines. Dr. Salim was a member of core team of NEDO (New Energy & Industrial Technology Development Organisation, Japan) plant under Indo-Japanese collaboration.
