An Etihad flight from Chennai to Abu Dhabi was grounded due to a technical issue at Chennai airport on Tuesday (May 12, 2026) morning. 

Around 10.15 a.m., the flight moved from the bay but it was soon discovered that there was hydraulic fluid leakage issue, airport sources said. Subsequently, the aircraft returned to the bay and the passengers were deboarded safely. A team from the airline will look into the issue.

Further investigation is under way.
