Ahead of National Milk Day (on November 26), Milma has expanded its product line with five new items, including Samridhi ghee, Milma Plus flavoured milk in can, ghee halwa, kanthari buttermilk, and banana burfi.

Milma chairperson K.S. Mani said at a press meet in Kollam on Tuesday (November 25, 2025) that these introductions are a key part of the strategy to reposition Milma as an international brand, aiming to compete with multinational companies by using attractive, world-class packaging while maintaining product quality.

“Milma has successfully standardised the quality, quantity, packaging, and pricing of its products across all its three regional unions,” he said.

The newly launched Samrudhi ghee from Milma comes in premium matka glass bottles. It comes in 500 ml and 1,000 ml bottles, priced at ₹480 and ₹900 respectively. Samrudhi ghee will be available at super markets, and consumers can also order it through online platforms also.

Marketed by Milma’s Alappuzha Dairy, Milma Plus flavoured can milk comes in vanilla, badam, chocolate and rose flavours. It is priced at ₹38 per can. The product, made using sterilisation technology without any added preservatives, has a shelf-life of nine months in normal room temperature. Milma ghee halwa is the latest premium product from Milma’s Malabar regional union. It blends the taste of the famed Kozhikode Halwa and Milma ghee. The premium sweet comes in a 4500gm packet, priced at ₹260. Milma kanthari buttermilk, a tailor-made product for health enthusiasts, is made using Milma curd, salt and Kanthari chilli. It comes in 700ml bottle, priced at ₹50.

Milma’s Banana Burfi is made using Milma Ghee, banana and jaggery. The product comes in 100 gm and 250 gm cartons, priced at ₹70 and ₹160 respectively.

“Despite reports of decrease in the number of cattle, Milma has recorded a 14% increase in milk procurement from April to September this year. Milma already has market in all major cities in India and our products are in high demand in West Asia. Recently, we made arrangements to distribute our products in Australia and New Zealand also,” said the chairperson.

Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development J. Chinchurani will inaugurate the State-level National Milk Day celebrations on November 26 in Kollam. Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal will preside over the function.
