An Air India Express flight from Tiruchi to Sharjah was stranded at the Tiruchi airport on Wednesday (September 3, 2025) morning following a technical snag.
The flight, scheduled to depart at 4.25 a.m. with 176 passengers on board, was about to take off when the crew detected a problem. They aborted the take-off, and the aircraft was brought back safely to the parking bay.
As per security protocol, the passengers were asked to remain inside the aircraft for some time before being asked to alight, and were escorted back to the terminal. “The exact nature of the snag is still being determined. Passengers have been accommodated in an alternative flight at 2.30 p.m. from Tiruchi,” a senior airport official said.
