Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will be participating in the Mahalla Jamaats (local mosque committees) Conference to be held at Swamimalai, Thanjavur district, on January 28, according to the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) National President K.M. Kader Mohideen.

In a statement on November 13, the IUML National President has said that over 7,000 ‘mahallas’ were expected to participate in the conference where subjects such as strengthening of Mahalla Jamaats network, issues/problems faced by Indian Muslim community and the stand to be adopted by the community in the forthcoming Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly elections would be deliberated.
