The first teaser of Pranav Mohanlal’s Dies Irae, directed by Rahul Sadasivan, has been released, hinting at yet another thrilling and chilling experience from the filmmaker who wowed audiences with his brilliant and critically-acclaimed horror narratives, Bhoothakalam (2022) and Bramayugam (2024).
The teaser shows Pranav’s character affected by an unidentified presence. The character says ‘When someone dies holding deep hatred or unfilled desire, their soul never truly leaves this world’, referring to a story about a restless spirit.

The actor was last seen in a cameo role in L2: Empuraan. While the cast is kept under the wraps, the teaser has actors Gibin Gopinath and Manohari Joy.

Rahul has brought together almost the same team of Bramayugam – Shehnad Jalal (camera), Christo Xavier (music), Jothish Shankar (production design), Shafique Mohamed Ali (editing), Jayadevan Chakkadath (sound design), and MR Rajakrishnan (sound mix). The same producers are also on board, Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S Sashikanth.
Dies Irae, which in Latin means the day of the wrath, is fittingly releasing on the Halloween, October 31, this year.
