Mambalam police have arrested four persons, including a domestic aide of actor Suriya, for allegedly cheating his personal security officer (PSO) and others after receiving money under the pretext of selling gold coins at cheaper rates.

Police sources said Anthony Raj, a constable of Armed Reserve unit and the PSO to the actor, lodged the complaint. He alleged that one Sulochana, his sons, and another had offered him gold coins at cheaper rates and collected ₹42 lakh from him.

The police traced the suspects – Sulochana, her sons Balaji and Bhaskar, and sister Vijayalakshmi – who were absconding, and arrested them.

The investigation revealed that they had cheated several persons by running a chit fund scheme and offering gold coins at cheaper rates.

Sulochana, who was working as a domestic aide for some time at the actor’s house, has been dismissed.
