WARANGAL: Four railway employees narrowly escaped when a fire broke out in a stationary coach at Kesamudram station in Mahbubabad district during Thursday’s midnight hours. The coach, which served as a resting area for workers on extension projects, was parked near the station, and all four were sleeping inside when the flames erupted. Alerted by the blaze, they opened the doors and jumped to safety without injury.
Firefighters arrived promptly and extinguished the fire. Officials suspect an electrical short circuit caused the incident, which produced heavy smoke and alarmed nearby residents. Railway authorities have appointed a special team to investigate the cause.
