HYDERABAD: BRS deputy floor leader T. Harish Rao accused Chief Minsiter A. Revanth Reddy of diverting public attention from his government’s failures by resorting to personal attacks on BRS leaders, instead of addressing key public issues.

Responding to Revanth Reddy’s statements at Nalgonda, while addressing party booth level agents in Siddipet, Harish Rao questioned why the Chief Minister chose to attack him personally instead of answering concerns over Telangana’s rightful share in the Krishna and Godavari river waters following the recent meeting with the Chief Ministers of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

He said the Chief Minister’s repeated attacks on BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao, party working president K.T. Rama Rao and himself reflected growing political insecurity. “If you truly believe your government enjoys public confidence and will remain in power until 2028 or even 2034, dissolve the Assembly today. We are prepared to ask our MLAs to resign. Let the people decide who deserves to govern Telangana,” Harish Rao challenged.

Harish Rao alleged that Revanth Reddy was unable to fulfil the Congress’ major electoral promises, including `2,500 monthly assistance to women, scooters for women, one tola of gold, `4,000 pensions, two lakh government jobs and `15,000 Rythu Bharosa and was therefore attempting to divert public attention by repeatedly targeting the BRS and its leadership.
