The district administration has declared a local holiday on January 28 for all government and government-aided schools in Mannargudi, Needamangalam, and Kottur Panchayat Unions in view of the consecration festival of Sri Rajagopalaswamy temple, Mannargudi, to be held on that day. The schools will function on February 7 to compensate for the holiday on January 28, according to an official release.
