Parliament Winter Session 2025 Debate Today News Live Updates, Day 6: Pime Minister Narendra Modi will initiate the debate on the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram in Lok Sabha on Monday, while Home Minister Amit Shah will begin the discussion in Rajya Sabha on December 9. Lok Sabha has listed ‘Discussion on the 150th anniversary of national song Vande Mataram’ on Monday and allocated 10 hours for the debate. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will speak after the prime minister in Lok Sabha, while opposition Congress has decided to field Deputy leader Gaurav Gogoi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the discussion.
What govt said about Indians deported from US: In 2025, as of November 21, as many as 3,155 Indian nationals have been deported from the US, the government informed Parliament on Friday. Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh, in a written response to a query, also said all deportations are subject to an “unambiguous verification” of their Indian nationality. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) was asked whether it is a fact that several Indians who entered through “donkey route”, were recently deported from the US, and if so, the number of people shunted out by the US government to India during the last three years.

Urban employment guarantee among private members’ bills introduced in Rajya Sabha: Private members’ bills, including one to provide guaranteed employment in urban areas, one to give citizens “right to recall” elected representatives, and another to change the preamble of the Constitution, were among those introduced in the Rajya Sabha on Friday. A private member’s bill is a legislative proposal introduced in Parliament by a Member of Parliament (MP) who is not a minister.
