Hyderabad: CPI state joint secretary N. Bala Mallesh said that the Left parties should come together to fight communal forces. He said the BJP is laying the foundation for fascist rule by watering down constitutional values.

The comments were made at a meeting held to remember the October revolution in Russia at the Sundarayya Vignana Kendram.

Addressing the meeting, Mallesh said, “All communist parties should come together against the BJP government to fight its dictatorial rule. Only then can the BJP be shown the door.”

Other speakers like M. Ashok Onkar and Sadineni Venkateshwara Rao expressed fears that in the name of simultaneous elections, BJP was trying to take away the rights of states.
