Police have arrested a man who stole laptops and mobile phones from Paying Guest (PG) accommodations in the city.

With this arrest, the police have claimed to have cracked 15 such cases.

Following a complaint by a student who lost her laptop from a PG accommodation on Bannerghatta Road, the police launched a probe and detained a man who was trying to sell multiple laptops in S.S. Palya.

He reportedly confessed that he had stolen laptops and mobile phones from PGs for the past several months. The police have recovered 20 laptops from him, and they have identified the owners of 15 of them.

The items were returned back to those owners.
