A 36-year-old daily wage labourer was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence in Dannaram, Kandukur, late on Friday night.

K. Praveen lived with his wife Sirisha, aged around 30, and their two children, said Inspector of Kandukur police station K. Seetharam. “Initially, police suspected that he had died by suicide due to financial troubles. However, his family has alleged foul play, pointing fingers at Sirisha and a man named Mahesh from the same neighbourhood,” said the officer.

According to preliminary information, Sirisha is accused by Praveen’s family for allegedly being involved in an extra-marital affair with Mahesh, leading to frequent arguments at home. “Praveen’s family alleged that Sirisha and Mahesh plotted to kill him to continue their relationship,” police added.

Kandukur police have booked a case of suspicious death and are awaiting the autopsy report before proceeding with further investigation.
