Karimnagar: Welfare minister Adluri Laxman Kumar challenged BJP leaders to take initiative to ensure that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probed the alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram scheme. The state government has passed a resolution in the Assembly seeking a CBI probe but there was no response from the Centre, he said.
Laxman alleged that the BJP and BRS were the same and found fault with the BJP leaders for making false statements against the state government. He was speaking on the sidelines of the Banjaras’ Sitla festival held at Lambadi thanda, Dharmaram mandal of Peddapalli district on Tuesday.
Laxman said the government would develop basic facilities in all thandas and habitations in Dharmapuri constituency. Besides laying a road to connect a few thandas in Pegadapalli mandal at a cost of `68 crore, the government had sanctioned ₹25 lakh for the construction of Girijana bhavan in Maddulapalli, he said.
