Naidu to Mark World Adivasi Day at Paderu on Aug. 9

Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is likely to visit Paderu in Alluri Sitharamaraju (ASR) district to participate as the chief guest at the International Day of Indigenous People on August 9.

According to official sources, the Chief Minister will interact with several tribal farmers in the coffee plantations adjacent to Vanjangi village in Paderu mandal. Later, he will address the tribal community at a public meeting to be organised near Lagisapalli and Uggangoyyi villages.

A representative from the chief minister’s office Pendurthi Venkatesh visited Paderu on Wednesday to inspect the arrangements being made by the local authorities.

District collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar and SP Amit Bardar inspected the helipad near Lagisapalli village and the road route through which the Chief Minister is expected to travel to visit the coffee gardens in Vanjangi.

Officials said the Chief Minister will also meet leaders and activists of the alliance at a location opposite Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya along the same route. The authorities are working to improve the road from the helipad to Vanjangi village within the next two days and aim to complete the entire work shortly thereafter.

GCC chairman Kidari Shravan Kumar, former MLA Giddi Eshwari, officials from various departments and Telugu Desam leaders were present during the inspection.
