Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday announced that a new Kendriya Vidyalaya will soon open in Khazoori Khas, north-east Delhi, to provide high-quality education.
The Delhi government has provided the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) land for building the school, she said.
“Initially, the school will run for classes between 1 and 5, with a single section in each grade. Arrangements for land and infrastructure have been completed by the concerned authorities, and the school has been approved by the KVS,” said the CM.
Ms. Gupta said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kendriya Vidyalayas are being established across the country, including in Delhi, and are strengthening the education system.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, there are currently 46 Kendriya Vidyalayas functioning in Delhi.
