Indian Maritime University hosted its 10th convocation at the Visakhapatnam campus and also inaugurated the Indian Ship Technology Centre. Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, was the chief guest.

Researchers at IIT Jodhpur and AIIMS Jodhpur have used AI to better identify malnutrition in children through DomainAdapt, a learning framework that can estimate nutritional status using photos. The study was published in the journal MICCAI.
Researchers from NIT Rourkela have received a patent titled Adaptive Contention Window Optimisation in VANETs using Multi-Agent Deep Reinforcement Learning for Enhanced Performance Model, which aims to improve how vehicles communicate with each other in the future. Another team from the institute has uncovered new insights in developing low-cost indigenous force plates for measuring the multi-axial ground reaction forces (GRF), a device that will be useful in sports academies, educational institutes, hospitals and rehabilitation centres in India.
Pukhrambam Rajesh Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, and Prof. Bendang Ao, Department of Zoology, Nagaland University, have designed the BR Fishing Trap made from locally-available bamboo and plastic threads to support sustainable fishing in hill streams and cage culture fish farms. The device has been patented in the U.K.
A team of researchers from IIIT Hyderabad and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia, developed a new class of large-area, flexible dielectric materials that can be used as capacitive pressure sensors. These low-cost, sensitive sensors can be used in healthcare, robotics, and wearable devices. The findings were published in the IEEE Journal on Flexible Electronics.
