Deputy Chief Minister and forest and environment minister K. Pawan Kalyan has directed forest officials to remain on high alert following the movement of a tiger in agricultural fields near Chagallu village in East Godavari district.
He instructed officials to keep residents informed about the tiger’s movements and take precautionary measures to prevent loss of human life.
Reviewing the situation and efforts to capture the animal safely, Pawan Kalyan stressed the need for coordinated action to track the tiger and ensure public safety. He asked villagers to follow forest department instructions, avoid entering agricultural fields alone and refrain from approaching the animal.
As the tiger has been spotted outside its natural forest habitat, he directed officials to take steps to capture it safely. He also ordered the deployment of Hanuman teams in areas where the tiger had been moving and called for continuous monitoring.
Pawan Kalyan directed that the operation be coordinated under the supervision of the Forest Department’s Zonal Conservator. Senior officials were asked to provide regular updates to the public on the tiger’s movements and capture efforts.
