Kakinada: East Godavari district treasury officer N. Satyanarayana on Thursday told all the pensioners to submit their life certificates between January 1 and February 28.
Launching the verification process at the district treasury office, he said pensioners, including family pensioners and retired employees from all cadres, must submit their Jeevan Praman (life certificate) as per the directions of the Director of Treasuries and Accounts.
He warned that failure to submit the life certificate within the stipulated deadline could lead to disruption of pension payments.
Pensioners can submit their certificates online through the Jeevan Praman or Jeevan Praman Face applications, or by personally visiting their respective sub-treasury offices. Even those who have already submitted certificates earlier must submit them again during this period.
For pensioners facing biometric issues, health problems or those confined to bed, he said they could inform the concerned sub-treasury office in advance, following which treasury staff would visit their residence for verification.
