PM Modi To Address Nation: Asserting that India has only paused military action against Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India was keeping a close eye on Islamabad’s every move.

In his first public address since Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the Armed Forces, spy agencies and scientists. The “brave soldiers” showed great courage for achieving the goals of Operation Sindoor.

Innocent civilians spending holidays were killed in front of their families and children after being asked their religion. “This caused me great pains,” PM said.

“I gave a free hand to the Armed Forces and today all terror organisations have understood the cost of removing Sindoor from our wives and daughters,” says Modi.

“On the morning of May 7, the whole world saw this promise turn into results. Indian Armed Forces made precision strikes on terror sites and training centres in Pakistan. They hadn’t fathomed that India could take such a decision. But when the country is united then decisive action can be taken,” he adds.

Festive offer

“Pakistan has been the global terror university — be it 9/11, the London Tube Bombing or the decades of terror attacks in India. These terror sites had a link with them all… Terrorists wiped the Sindoor of Indian women, that’s why we decimated the headquarters of terror,” he said.

Pakistan hit India’s borders, but India’s drones and missiles made precision hits on Pakistan’s heart, he said.

Modi’s public comments came hours after the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan spoke, two days after deciding to “stop all firing, and military action” from land, air and sea starting 5 PM on May 10.

Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting nine terror sites inside Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

Terrorists had gunned down 25 Indian and one Nepali civilian in the picturesque Baisaran valley in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, leading to the highest civilian casualties since at least the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

What PM said after Pahalgam attack?

After the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives and injured scores of others, besides destablising J&K’s peace, PM Narendra Modi had promised retribution for the Pahalgam terror attack. He said “India will identify, track and punish every terrorist and their backers” and would “pursue them to the ends of the earth”.

Addressing a rally in Madhubani in Bihar, the Prime Minister said: “Ab aatankiyon ki bachi kuchi zameen ko bhi mitti mein milane ka samay aa gaya hai (the time has come to raze whatever is left of the haven of terrorists).”

Then Modi switched to English, addressing the international community, and said: “Today, from the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world: India will identify, track and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the earth. India’s spirit will never be broken by terrorism.”

“Terrorism will not go unpunished. Every effort will be made to ensure that justice is done. The entire nation is firm in this resolve. Everyone who believes in humanity is with us. I thank the people of various countries and their leaders who have stood with us in this time… The punishment will be significant and stringent, which these terrorists would have never even thought about.”
