Hyderabad: The Saidabad steel bridge was ready for inauguration, officials said on Wednesday. Once opened, it is expected to ease traffic movement between Chanchalguda Jail and Owaisi Hospital, along with an additional link to Champapet.

Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Mohammed Azharuddin on Wednesday inspected the Saidabad bridge and later reviewed work at the Moosarambagh bridge.

Addressing the media, Prabhakar said the long-pending Saidabad project had been completed at a cost of ₹680 crore.

“The Saidabad steel bridge and the Moosarambagh bridge will be inaugurated shortly by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and opened to the public. The Chief Minister has also directed that the approach roads be widened,” the minister said.

Prabhakar also noted that works near KBR Park are progressing rapidly to reduce traffic congestion on the arterial road. “These projects will significantly reduce travel time, and the government is taking special measures to minimise inconvenience to commuters during construction,” Prabhakar said.

Minister Azharuddin said the was identifying bottlenecks and congested junctions and examining proposals for new flyovers at suitable locations for public convenience.
