Smallcap multibagger stock Tips Music had announced an interim dividend of Rs 2 per share and set October 24 as the record date for the purpose, which means today is the last date to buy the shares of the company to be eligible for the said dividend.

“This is to inform you that at the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company held today i.e. Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the Board inter alia has: Fixed October 24, 2024, as the Record Date towards payment of second Interim Dividend,” the company said in an exchange filing.

The payment of the aforesaid dividend will be paid on or before November 12, the company had informed.

In the past 12 months, Tips Music has declared an equity dividend amounting to Rs 7 per share and at the share price of Rs 746.05, the company’s dividend yield is 0.94%, according to the data available on Trendlyne.

The record date and ex-date is the same in most cases. If the record date falls on a market holiday, then the ex-date will be the preceding trading day.

The dividends are paid to the shareholders whose names are listed in the company’s records on the record date.The company’s current market capitalization stands at Rs 9,486.38 crore and the stock has surged 107.6% in the last one year. On a year-to-date basis, the share price has increased by 110.4% and by 60% in the last 6 months.The shares of Tips Music were trading 4.2% lower at Rs 742 on the BSE around 1:15 pm.
