Hyderabad: The Supreme Court has declined to intervene in the ongoing issue surrounding land allotted to Suresh Productions for the Rama Naidu Studios in Visakhapatnam.
The dispute arose after the Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh reportedly permitted Suresh Productions to utilise the previously allotted land for purposes beyond the original intent. Subsequently, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government issued a show-cause notice to Suresh Productions, questioning why the earlier land allocation order should not be revoked.
Suresh Productions challenged this show-cause notice before the Supreme Court. A bench headed by Justice Abhay S Oka heard the petition. However, the bench chose not to interfere in the matter, directing Suresh Productions to approach the appropriate lower court.
Notably, the Supreme Court bench granted Suresh Productions’ request to withdraw their current petition.
