Union Minister and Thrissur MP Suresh Gopi continued his silence over the alleged voters’ list fraud even after reaching Thrissur on Wednesday (August 13, 2025). He sarcastically remarked, “Thanks for all your help”, and interacted only with party workers.

He refused to respond to repeated questions on the allegations of irregularities in the voters’ list and election fraud against him and his family members. Mr. Gopi did not respond to the questions about the attack on clergy from Kerala in Chhattisgarh and Odisha too.

Mr. Gopi, who reached Thrissur in the Vande Bharat Express, called on the five BJP activists at a hospital who were injured in the BJP-CPI(M) clash on Tuesday night. Later, he visited his camp office, where the CPI(M) workers blackened the signboard.

The Union Minister did not participate in the protest march taken out by BJP leaders to the Thrissur City Police Commissioner’s office and went to Kothamangalam, where he is expected to call on the family members of a young woman who killed herself last Saturday.

Meanwhile, former BJP Kerala president K. Surendran, who called on Mr. Gopi at his camp office, defended Mr. Gopi’s silence, stating that it was for the BJP leadership to respond to the questions.
