Karuppu, starring Suriya and Trisha, and directed by RJ Balaji, has become the highest-grossing film of Suriya’s career. Following the film’s blockbuster run, the actor addressed the media at a thanksgiving meet.

During his speech, he said, “I committed to the project in less than an hour, fully trusting RJ Balaji’s vision. Positive things began happening from the very day I signed on for the film.”

He added: “I anticipated success, but the massive scale of their achievement has far surpassed our greatest expectations.”

When asked about the possibility of a sequel to Karuppu, Suriya with his characteristic smile said, “I am also waiting hopefully for the second installment of Karuppu to be produced. I believe that updates on it will be revealed soon.”
