A tanker on a goods train from Banaswadi to Salem derailed, delaying the Vande Bharat train by two hours on Tuesday. The train, which was carrying 52 empty tankers from Banaswadi in Bengaluru, was bound for Salem around noon on Tuesday when the 18th tanker derailed. The derailment was immediately notified, and a railway team worked to lift the derailed wheels back onto the track. The derailment delayed the Coimbatore-bound Vande Bharat train by over three hours on Tuesday.
