Hyderabad: The Telangana State Police’s Computer Services and Standardisation (PCS&S) wing has received the 15th National Digital Transformation Award 2024 for its innovative ‘ePetty Case System.’ The prestigious award, given under the ‘mGovernance Initiative of the Year’ category, was presented in Guwahati on December 13.
The ‘ePetty Case System’ initiative leverages digital technology to streamline the management of petty crimes. The system facilitates real-time evidence collection, geo-tagging, and data analysis, enabling law enforcement agencies to respond swiftly and effectively to petty offences.
Telangana State Technical Services additional DGP Sri V.V. Srinivasa Rao commended the PCS&S team for their dedication and innovative approach. He emphasised that this achievement underscores the state police’s commitment to embracing cutting-edge technology to enhance public safety, transparency, and the efficiency of law enforcement.
