Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express train launch: A new Amrit Bharat Express train service will soon start its operation on Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram route. This new non-AC train has been designed to provide affordable and high-quality service for passengers from lower and lower-middle income category. The train will pass through key cities across Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

The Thiruvananthapuram Central-Tambaram-Thiruvananthapuram Central Amrit Bharat Express will operate as train number 16122/16121. The train will run via Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Srirangam.

Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram Amrit Bharat train: Stoppages

During it journey between Thiruvananthapuram and Tambaram, this new Amrit Bharat Express train will halt at 15 stations. These are: Kulitturai, Nagercoil Town, Valliyur, Tirunelveli, Satur, Kovilpatti, Virudunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Srirangam, Ariyalur, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram and Chengalpattu.

Thiruvananthapuram Central–Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express: Frequency, Composition

The Thiruvananthapuram Central–Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express will run as a weekly service. The train will run from Thiruvananthapuram Central every Thursday while from Tambaram, it will depart every Wednesday.

Train number 16122 Thiruvananthapuram Central–Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 10:40 hrs on Thursday and arrive at Tambaram at 23:45 hrs, the same day. In the return direction, train number 16121 Tambaram-Thiruvananthapuram Central Amrit Bharat Express will depart Tambaram at 17:30 hrs on Wednesday to reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 08:00 hrs on Thursday.

This train service will further enhance inter-state mobility between Kerala and Tamil Nadu and will be a boon for the people of southern districts of Tamil Nadu, supporting trade, healthcare, education, and tourism.
