Actress Trisha Krishnan is enjoying a fresh wave of popularity, with her recent appearance at the swearing-in ceremony of actor-turned-politician Vijay becoming a major talking point on social media. At the same time, excitement is building around her much-awaited return to Tollywood with Vishwambhara opposite megastar Chiranjeevi.
According to industry sources, Trisha is eagerly waiting for the July release of the fantasy entertainer to reconnect with Telugu audiences in a big way. The actress is reportedly being paid over Rs 3 crore for playing the female lead in the film, making it one of the highest remunerations for a leading actress in Tollywood.
Interestingly, Trisha earlier shared screen space with Chiranjeevi in the 2006 hit Stalin. Expressing her excitement about reuniting with the megastar after nearly 18 years, she had stated, “What an honour it is to reunite with the one and only Megastar after 18 years.”
The Chennai beauty reinvented herself with memorable performances in Ponniyin Selvan: I and Ponniyin Selvan: II, where her graceful screen presence and powerful performance won widespread acclaim. She further strengthened her comeback with Leo, proving that she remains one of South India’s most bankable stars.
Sources also reveal that Trisha had earlier received an advance payment for another Telugu project with Chiranjeevi, which has now reportedly been adjusted for her role in “Vishwambhara.”
Trisha had once dominated Telugu cinema with blockbuster films like Varsham, Bodyguard, Sainikudu, Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule and King, becoming a household name among Telugu audiences before conquering Tamil cinema as well.
Now, with “Vishwambhara” gearing up for release, Trisha seems poised for yet another successful phase in her illustrious career, while also giving younger stars like Rashmika Mandanna and Sreeleela stiff competition.
