Triumph reveals the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition, a limited-run model blending classic cafe racer styling with the proven Speed Twin 1200 RS hardware.
Triumph has unveiled the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition, a limited-run model that leans heavily into classic British cafe racer styling while retaining the mechanical package of the Speed Twin 1200 RS. Limited to 800 units globally, this edition is aimed at riders who value design and exclusivity as much as outright performance.
Visually, the changes are immediately noticeable. The Cafe Racer Edition features low-set clip-on handlebars, a single-seat layout with a brown bullet-style seat and a removable rear cowl. The pillion pegs have been removed, reinforcing its single-rider focus and giving the motorcycle a cleaner, more purposeful silhouette. The riding position is expected to be more committed than the standard Speed Twin, staying true to the cafe racer ethos.

The paint scheme plays a big role in defining the character of this edition. Finished in a Competition Green and Aluminium Silver combination, the bike draws clear inspiration from Triumph’s racing heritage. Subtle gold detailing and edition-specific branding add contrast, while components like the headlamp bowl and wheels follow the same colour theme for a cohesive look.
Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged. Power comes from the familiar 1200 cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank, producing around 105 PS and 112 Nm. It is paired with a well-sorted chassis featuring fully adjustable Marzocchi front forks, Ohlins rear suspension and Brembo Stylema brakes at the front. These components give the Speed Twin 1200 its reputation for sharp handling and strong braking, traits that carry over unchanged to this special edition.
In terms of electronics, the Cafe Racer Edition continues with modern rider aids such as multiple ride modes, cornering ABS, traction control and a bi-directional quickshifter. The instrument setup blends a classic circular design with a TFT display that supports connectivity and navigation, keeping things functional without looking overly modern.
The Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition is about celebrating a specific style of motorcycling, which is cafe racers. It stays rooted in Triumph’s heritage but benefits from contemporary hardware and technology. As of now, we do not know whether Triumph will be bringing the special edition to the Indian market or not.
