The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has plans to launch AI Chatbot, to clear the doubts regarding the shrine and various arjita sevas of piilgrims from across the world.

The AI-powered chatbot would be made available to the pilgrims in the next 15 days, with the co-operation of Tata Consultancy Services and Amazon Web Services cloud platform. The chatbot would overcome the language barriers and also put an end to the long wait of the pilgrims for a reply from the TTD authorities, regarding their doubts.

Pilgrims contact the TTD call centres, emails, and other social media platforms to get their queries on darshan tickets, accommodation facilities, transport and refund cleared. However, the reply is getting delayed due to shortage of human resources. In the wake of this situation, the AI chatbot is expected to overcome this trouble and continue delivering the replies round-the-clock.

It is estimated that the cost of the cloud services per month would go up to Rs 4 lakh and Rs 50 lakh for a year, excluding the taxes. Basing on the usage of the services, the payment would be done online periodically.

The AI chatbot can clear the doubts of scores of pilgrims simultaneously. It can reply to the queries in all the 13 Indian languages. It would guide the pilgrims regarding the darshan ticket booking, providing them with real-time information. It also provide ‘speech to text’ and ‘text to speech’ features in addition to the usual typing.
