Vande Bharat Sleeper launch, Indian Railways passenger advisory: Amid the launch of India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train on Saturday, January 17, Indian Railways has revised the platform numbers of 30 trains for two days January 16 and 17. The change has been made to ensure smooth and seamless operations of other services at Malta Town station.

Speaking to Indianexpress.com, Shibram Majhi, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Eastern Railway has confirmed the development. “Yes, the platforms have been changed temporarily for two days due to the launch of the Vande Bharat Sleeper train,” the official said when asked about the development.

Malda Town-Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper Express inaugural special

On Saturday (January 17), train number 02075, the Malda Town–Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper inaugural special, will leave Malda Town at 13:15 hrs and reach Kamakhya at 23:15 hrs the same day. It will halt at seven stations en route. These are: Aluabari Road, New Jalpaiguri, Jalpaiguri Road, New Coochbehar, New Alipurduar, New Bongaigaon and Rangiya.

Earlier in the day, Chairman & CEO, Railway Board Satish Kumar inspected the new Vande Bharat Sleeper rake at Malda Town Station along with the General Manager, Eastern Railway.
