NEW DELHI: Gujarat Titans‘ (GT) pacer Mohammed Siraj delivered a dream delivery to dismiss Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Rohit Sharma for the first time in IPL history during their Indian Premier League 2025 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
After being sent in to bat by MI captain Hardik Pandya, GT posted 196/8, riding on a solid 78-run opening stand between Sai Sudharsan (63) and skipper Shubman Gill (38). Jos Buttler also contributed to the total, playing a quick cameo of 29 off 24 balls.

Siraj opened the attack for GT, with Rohit Sharma on strike. After a dot ball, Rohit flicked two consecutive fours — one to wide mid-on and another toward fine leg. However, Siraj had the last laugh with a sensational delivery.
Bowling a length ball around off-stump, the delivery skidded off the surface, nipped back in slightly, breached Rohit’s defence and clattered into the top of the off-stump bail.
WATCH:
Rohit was dismissed for 8 off 4 balls, leaving the MI camp stunned.
This was the first time Siraj dismissed Rohit in IPL history, having bowled against him 10 times in previous editions without success.
