Congress MP Chamala Kiran Reddy said the Congress has ethics and also basics on water engineering and the massive irrigation projects in the country were an indication of its ethics and knowledge of water.
In response to BRS MLA T Harish Rao’s allegations that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy doesn’t understand the basics of water engineering or irrigation, the MP said the BRS that claims to have basics of water spent a fortune on the Kaleshwaram project, whose future is in a dilemma due to the barrage pillars caving in.
“If only BRS leaders had built projects with basic technical knowledge, the situation would have been different. After the collapse of Kaleshwaram, people have fully understood the reality of Telangana’s water crisis,” he said.
At a press conference here, Mr. Reddy said the BRS leaders were unable to digest the fact that Mr. Revanth Reddy has become the Chief Minister and ARE now resorting to personal attacks. “People gave Mr. Revanth Reddy power because he has basics of water engineering and also ethics unlike the BRS,” he said.
Telangana rejected BRS because of its lack of ethics and accountability. “You tried to loot the very soul of Telangana, that’s why people set you aside,” he charged.
