Bihar Assembly Election Results 2025: With one day left for counting of votes in Bihar Assembly election 2025, the stage is set for the results which will determine whether Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD(U)-BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) continues to hold power or whether the Tejashwi Yadav, the CM face of the Mahagathbandhan, replaces Bihar’s longest-running chief minister.

Results will start coming in from the morning, with trends expected to emerge by midday and final results by evening.

When will the counting for Bihar Election 2025 start?

According to the official website of the Election Commission of India (ECI), the counting of votes and the announcement of trends for the Bihar Elections 2025 will commence at 8am on Friday (November 14).

What was the voter turnout in 2-phase Bihar elections?

In the first phase of polling held, Bihar saw a voter turnout of 64.66 per cent — a jump from the 56.1 per cent turnout recorded in the opening phase of the 2020 Bihar Assembly Election. The voter turnout in the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections, was recorded to be 66.91 per cent, officially the highest-ever voter turnout in the state since 1951, the Election Commission of India said.

What did the exit polls predict?

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance is likely to retain power in Bihar, as per Axis My India and Today’s Chanakya prediction. Axis My India predicted NDA to win by a narrow margin with 121 to 141 seats, MGB 98 to 118, JSP 0 to 2 seats while Today’s Chanakya projected BJP a major victory with 160 seats, RJD 77 and Others six seats. On Tuesday, nine exit polls also projected the NDA to win 147 seats in the 243-member Assembly.
