Three children from the same family in Jaipur have gone missing after leaving for school on August 14. The children — Mohit Singh (10), his brother Nitin Singh (9), and their cousin Armaan (9) — left for school but never reached their classs, prompting their worried families to file missing person FIRs at Sanganer Sadar and Bajaj Nagar police stations.
During the search at home, they found a handwritten note that read: “We are leaving the house as per our will. Please do not search for us. We will return after 5 years.”
Sanganer Sadar SHO Anil Jaiman told The Indian Express, “The parents had scolded the brothers several times regarding academics. It seems the children left willingly, taking it as a challenge that they will achieve something in life and return later.”
According to police, CCTV footage shows the three children boarding a train at Gandhi Nagar railway station the same morning. A police team was also sent to New Delhi to trace them, but it seems the children did not arrive there.
Police are now scanning CCTV footage from other locations and checking the children’s Instagram account, which their elder brother handles, for possible clues.
Mohit and Nitin’s father, Vijay Singh, works as a pickup driver, while Armaan’s father is employed at a hotel. Both Mohit and Armaan have mobile phones, but their devices are switched off.
