On Tuesday, when Virat Kohli’s team Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the IPL trophy for the first time in 18 years, many took to their social media handles to praise the cricketer. Among those celebrating the moment was his sister Bhawna Kohli Dhingra. Followng her brother’s much-awaited victory, Bhawna took to her Instagram handle to share a long note to congratulate her brother. The post attracted several reactions from fans with many praising the cricketer. However, one of the comments questioned Bhawna’s alleged strained relationship with her brother Virat and sister-in-law Anushka Sharma.

A user commented, “Why he never mention you in any speech or even don’t like your post. Not even Anushka. Lol.” Replying to this, Bhawna wrote, “May God give you the patience to understand love can exist in many ways which is not necessarily shown to world but it’s still there like the love for almighty. Hope you have enough love in your life, no insecurities, only true bonds which don’t need any validation. God Bless you.”

However, Bhawna Kohli Dhingra later deleted the comment. But, it had already caught the attention of Virat Kohli’s fans, who widely circulated the screenshot of the now-deleted comment.

Bhawna’s post for Virat Kohli
On June 3, Bhawna took to her Instagram handle to share a series of photos of her brother Virat Kohli from the Ahmedabad stadium, where RCB lifted the IPL trophy for the first time since its debut in 2007.

She captioned the post, “This night this moment where we celebrate this dream which made us cry which made us laugh but the wait that you did is far too long each and every second of the moment needs to be experienced with stillness and a strange calmness that it’s actually done.”

Bhawna added, “All of us can’t express the humility and thankfulness towards almighty and millions of fans who were right behind RCB through thick and thin this win is everybody’s personal win .Your tears were felt in the eyes of everyone who loves you ,we cried with you because you my little Veeru are gods chosen one who brings so much joy and inspiration in everyone ,blessed to witness this and someone in heaven is smiling in his usual smile looking at his son making him proud.”

Virat mourns death of RCB fans
Post RCB’s win, a parade was arranged from Bengaluru’s Vidhana Soudha to Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, what was supposed to be a moment of celebration turned to tragedy after 11 people lost their lives and 47 sustained severe injuries due to a stampede.

Expressing grief, Virat Kohli re-posted RCB’s official post regarding the incident. The statement read: “We are deeply anguished by the unfortunate incidents that have come to light through media reports regarding public gatherings all over Bengaluru in anticipation of the team’s arrival this afternoon. The safety and well-being of everyone is of utmost importance to us.”
