أعلنت البحرين، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، أنها منعت سفر مواطنيها إلى إيران والعراق، موضحة أن وزارة الداخلية ستتخذ الإجراءات القانونية ضد المخالفين.
وقالت الوزراة في بيان: «نظراً لاستمرار توتر الأوضاع الأمنية الراهنة والناجمة عن تداعيات العدوان الإيراني الآثم، وانطلاقاً من الحرص على حفظ أمن الوطن وسلامة كافة المواطنين، تعلن وزارة الداخلية أنه تقرر منع سفر المواطنين إلى كل من إيران والعراق، وذلك حتى إشعار آخر».
وأضافت الوزارة: «سيتم اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة تجاه المخالفين».
يأتي القرار البحريني بحظر سفر المواطنين إلى إيران والعراق في سياق إقليمي شديد التوتر، تشهده منطقة الخليج في ظل تصاعد الهجمات الإيرانية على عدد من دول المنطقة، وتزايد المخاوف من امتداد تداعياتها إلى أمن الملاحة وحركة المدنيين.
وخلال الفترة الأخيرة، شهدت المنطقة سلسلة من التطورات الأمنية المرتبطة بتصاعد الهجمات الصاروخية والهجمات بالطائرات المسيّرة، إضافة إلى حوادث استهداف سفن تجارية في المياه الدولية بالخليج، ما أثار قلقاً واسعاً بشأن سلامة الممرات البحرية الحيوية.
كما تأتي الخطوة البحرينية في ظل مخاوف متزايدة من تدهور البيئة الأمنية الإقليمية، في وقت لم تُفضِ فيه الجهود الدبلوماسية بين إيران والولايات المتحدة إلى اتفاق نهائي، رغم جولات متعددة من الوساطات والمحادثات غير المباشرة.
وكانت الكويت قد حمّلت، أمس، إيران المسؤولية الكاملة عن الهجوم في بيان لوزارة الخارجية، مؤكدة تصدي دفاعاتها الجوية لهجوم بالصواريخ والمسيّرات.
وقالت رئاسة الأركان في الجيش الكويتي إن الدفاعات الجوية تصدت اليوم لهجمات صاروخية وطائرات مسيّرة معادية، موضحة أن أصوات الانفجارات التي سُمعت كانت نتيجة اعتراض منظومات الدفاع الجوي للهجمات المعادية.
Bahrain announced today (Tuesday) that it has banned its citizens from traveling to Iran and Iraq, stating that the Ministry of Interior will take legal action against violators.
The ministry said in a statement: “In light of the ongoing tension in the current security situation resulting from the consequences of the heinous Iranian aggression, and out of concern for the safety of the homeland and all citizens, the Ministry of Interior announces that it has decided to prohibit citizens from traveling to both Iran and Iraq, until further notice.”
The ministry added: “Necessary legal measures will be taken against violators.”
The Bahraini decision to ban citizens from traveling to Iran and Iraq comes in the context of a highly tense regional situation, as the Gulf region witnesses an escalation of Iranian attacks on several countries in the area, along with increasing fears that the repercussions could extend to the security of navigation and civilian movement.
Recently, the region has witnessed a series of security developments related to the escalation of missile attacks and drone strikes, in addition to incidents targeting commercial ships in international waters in the Gulf, raising widespread concerns about the safety of vital maritime routes.
The Bahraini step also comes amid growing fears of a deteriorating regional security environment, at a time when diplomatic efforts between Iran and the United States have not led to a final agreement, despite multiple rounds of mediation and indirect talks.
Kuwait had held Iran fully responsible for the attack in a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday, confirming that its air defenses intercepted an attack involving missiles and drones.
The Kuwaiti Army General Staff stated that air defenses today intercepted hostile missile and drone attacks, clarifying that the sounds of explosions heard were the result of the air defense systems intercepting the hostile attacks.
