أعلنت الرئاسة السورية أن الرئيس أحمد الشرع سيجري اليوم (الثلاثاء)،زيارة إلى المملكة العربية السعودية، يلتقي خلالها ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، في محطة جديدة ضمن جولة خليجية، لبحث مسار العلاقات الثنائية ومستجدات الوضع الإقليمي.
محادثات ثنائية على طاولة جدة
وبحسب ما نقلته وكالة الأنباء السورية (سانا)، سيعقد الرئيس الشرع جلسة مباحثات مع ولي العهد، تتركز على تعزيز العلاقات بين البلدين، ومناقشة القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، في ظل تحولات إقليمية متسارعة تتطلب تنسيقاً أعلى بين العواصم المؤثرة.
زيارات متواصلة وتعزيز للتقارب
وتأتي زيارة اليوم لتؤكد عمق العلاقات بين البلدين، إذ سبق أن زار الشرع المملكة في أكتوبر الماضي، والتقى خلالها ولي العهد، كما شارك في النسخة التاسعة من مؤتمر «مبادرة مستقبل الاستثمار».
وشكّلت الرياض أول محطة خارجية له عقب توليه منصبه رسمياً، في إشارة إلى أهمية العلاقات مع المملكة في أولويات السياسة السورية.
دعم سعودي ومشاريع بمليارات الدولارات
في المقابل، أكدت المملكة في أكثر من مناسبة التزامها بدعم سورية في مسار التعافي والتنمية، مع تعزيز الحضور الاستثماري السعودي في الداخل السوري.
وشهدت دمشق زيارة وفد سعودي رفيع برئاسة وزير الاستثمار، يضم نحو 120 مستثمراً، أسفرت عن توقيع أكثر من 47 اتفاقية ومذكرة تفاهم تغطي 11 قطاعاً حيوياً، بقيمة تجاوزت 6.4 مليار دولار، في خطوة تعكس تسارع وتيرة التعاون الاقتصادي بين البلدين.
The Syrian presidency announced that President Ahmad al-Shara will make a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today (Tuesday), during which he will meet with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, in a new stop within a Gulf tour, to discuss the course of bilateral relations and developments in the regional situation.
Bi-lateral Talks on the Table in Jeddah
According to what was reported by the Syrian News Agency (SANA), President al-Shara will hold a session of talks with the Crown Prince, focusing on strengthening relations between the two countries and discussing issues of mutual interest, in light of rapid regional transformations that require higher coordination among influential capitals.
Continuous Visits and Strengthening Closeness
Today’s visit reaffirms the depth of relations between the two countries, as al-Shara had previously visited the Kingdom last October, during which he met with the Crown Prince, and also participated in the ninth edition of the “Future Investment Initiative” conference.
Riyadh was his first foreign stop after officially assuming his position, indicating the importance of relations with the Kingdom in the priorities of Syrian policy.
Saudi Support and Billions of Dollars in Projects
In return, the Kingdom has confirmed on multiple occasions its commitment to support Syria in the path of recovery and development, while enhancing Saudi investment presence within Syria.
Damascus witnessed a visit from a high-level Saudi delegation headed by the Minister of Investment, which included about 120 investors, resulting in the signing of more than 47 agreements and memoranda of understanding covering 11 vital sectors, with a value exceeding 6.4 billion dollars, in a step that reflects the accelerating pace of economic cooperation between the two countries.
