أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب إطلاق حملة اقتصادية غير مسبوقة ضد إيران، وصفها بأنها «أقسى عملية اقتصادية على الإطلاق ضد أي دولة»، متوعداً طهران بعزلة واسعة، ومحذراً أي دولة أو جهة تقدم لها دعماً مالياً أو اقتصادياً من تداعيات كبيرة.
وقال ترمب إن الولايات المتحدة منحت إيران «فرصة أكبر من أي وقت مضى» للتوصل إلى صفقة، مضيفاً: «للأسف، فشلوا في اغتنامها».
ووصف الرئيس الأمريكي الإجراءات الجديدة بأنها «حرب اقتصادية وعزل على نطاق غير مسبوق»، قائلاً إن إيران تواجه وضعاً شديد الصعوبة بعد تضرر قدراتها العسكرية واقتصادها وعملتها.
ووسّع ترمب نطاق تهديداته ليشمل أطرافاً خارج إيران، محذراً من أن أي دولة تسمح لمؤسساتها المالية أو شركاتها أو مطاراتها أو كياناتها الحكومية بتوفير «شريان حياة» لطهران ستواجه «عواقب اقتصادية هائلة».
وحدد ترمب عدداً من الأنشطة التي تستهدفها الحملة، من بينها تهريب النفط، وخطوط تبادل العملات، والتحويلات النقدية، وشركات الصرافة، وسجلات السفن والشركات الوهمية، مطالباً بوقفها فوراً.
ووصف الرئيس الأمريكي حملته بأنها «يوم الحسم الاقتصادي»، داعياً حلفاء الولايات المتحدة إلى الانضمام إليها بهدف عزل إيران.
واعتبر ترمب أن الإجراءات ستحد من قدرة طهران على تمويل أنشطتها الخارجية، مجدداً في ختام تصريحاته تعهده بأن «إيران لن تمتلك سلاحاً نووياً أبداً».
U.S. President Donald Trump announced the launch of an unprecedented economic campaign against Iran, describing it as “the toughest economic operation ever against any country,” threatening Tehran with wide isolation and warning any country or entity that provides it with financial or economic support of significant repercussions.
Trump stated that the United States has given Iran “a greater opportunity than ever” to reach a deal, adding, “Unfortunately, they failed to seize it.”
The U.S. president described the new measures as “an economic war and isolation on an unprecedented scale,” stating that Iran is facing a very difficult situation after its military capabilities, economy, and currency have been harmed.
Trump expanded the scope of his threats to include parties outside Iran, warning that any country that allows its financial institutions, companies, airports, or government entities to provide a “lifeline” to Tehran will face “huge economic consequences.”
He identified several activities targeted by the campaign, including oil smuggling, currency exchange lines, cash transfers, money exchange companies, ship registries, and shell companies, calling for an immediate halt to these activities.
The U.S. president described his campaign as “the day of economic reckoning,” urging U.S. allies to join in the effort to isolate Iran.
Trump considered that the measures will limit Tehran’s ability to finance its foreign activities, reiterating at the end of his statements his commitment that “Iran will never possess a nuclear weapon.”
