دشنت كوريا الشمالية مدمرة بحرية جديدة تحمل اسم «كانغ كون»، وأدخلتها الخدمة ضمن أسطولها البحري.
وذكرت وكالة الأنباء المركزية الكورية الشمالية أن المدمرة الجديدة تزن 5000 طن، وأن الزعيم كيم جونغ أون حضر حفل تدشينها الذي أقيم في مدينة وونسان الساحلية شرقي البلاد.
«جزء من منظومة الرد النووي»
ووصف كيم المدمرة الجديدة بأنها «هجومية في جوهرها»، وجزء من منظومة الرد النووي للدولة.
وقال خلال حفل التدشين: «يجب أن توجه المدمرة من الجيل الجديد ضربة انتقامية قاتلة للأعداء، فهي قوة تندرج ضمن نظام الرد النووي للدولة».
وشدد الزعيم الكوري الشمالي على ضرورة تطوير القوات البحرية لتصبح «قوة مسلحة نووياً»، بما يعزز قدراتها على تنفيذ مهام الدفاع البحري والردع الحربي، متعهداً بمواصلة تطوير البحرية ونشر أصول استراتيجية أكثر قوة.
وأضاف: «نحن بصدد تنفيذ خطة مهمة لتعزيز قواتنا البحرية، وسأثبت ذلك للعالم بعد ثمانية أشهر من الآن».
«كانغ كون» تنضم إلى أسطول البحر الشرقي
وأفادت الوكالة بأن المدمرة «كانغ كون» ستنضم إلى أسطول البحر الشرقي التابع للبحرية الكورية الشمالية، للقيام بمهمة الدفاع عن السيادة البحرية للبلاد وتعزيز قدرتها على الردع.
وجاء دخول «كانغ كون» الخدمة بعد أقل من ثلاثة أشهر من دخول مدمرة مماثلة، هي «تشوي هيون»، التي تزن أيضاً 5000 طن.
تعزيز القدرات البحرية على الساحلين
وتعمل كوريا الشمالية على تسريع جهودها لتعزيز قدراتها البحرية على ساحليها، إذ تتمركز المدمرة «تشوي هيون» في البحر الغربي، فيما ستعمل «كانغ كون» ضمن أسطول البحر الشرقي.
وكانت بيونغ يانغ قد كشفت في وقت سابق من العام عن خطط لبناء سفينتين حربيتين كبيرتين تزيد حمولتهما على 5000 طن خلال السنوات الخمس المقبلة، بما في ذلك سفن حربية من فئة 10 آلاف طن.
North Korea has launched a new naval destroyer named “Kang Gon” and has put it into service as part of its naval fleet.
The Korean Central News Agency reported that the new destroyer weighs 5,000 tons, and leader Kim Jong Un attended the launch ceremony held in the coastal city of Wonsan in the eastern part of the country.
“Part of the Nuclear Response System”
Kim described the new destroyer as “offensive in nature” and part of the state’s nuclear response system.
He stated during the launch ceremony: “The new generation destroyer must deliver a deadly retaliatory strike against enemies; it is a force that falls within the state’s nuclear response system.”
The North Korean leader emphasized the necessity of developing naval forces to become a “nuclear-armed force,” enhancing their capabilities to carry out maritime defense and military deterrence missions, pledging to continue developing the navy and deploying more powerful strategic assets.
He added: “We are in the process of implementing an important plan to strengthen our naval forces, and I will prove this to the world in eight months from now.”
“Kang Gon” Joins the Eastern Sea Fleet
The agency reported that the destroyer “Kang Gon” will join the Eastern Sea Fleet of the North Korean navy to carry out the mission of defending the country’s maritime sovereignty and enhancing its deterrent capabilities.
The entry of “Kang Gon” into service comes less than three months after a similar destroyer, “Choi Hyun,” which also weighs 5,000 tons.
Enhancing Naval Capabilities on Both Coasts
North Korea is accelerating its efforts to enhance its naval capabilities on both coasts, with the destroyer “Choi Hyun” stationed in the western sea, while “Kang Gon” will operate within the Eastern Sea Fleet.
Earlier this year, Pyongyang revealed plans to build two large warships with a displacement of over 5,000 tons over the next five years, including warships of 10,000 tons class.
