بعد نحو 24 ساعة من الإعلان عن استضافة إسطنبول جولة جديدة من المفاوضات المباشرة بين إيران والولايات المتحدة في مسعى للحيلولة دون اندلاع الحرب بعد وساطات إقليمية ودولية، كشفت مصادر مطلعة أن خلافات حول «مكان» انعقاد الجولة المرتقبة، يمكن أن تعرقل هذا الحراك الدبلوماسي.
بين تركيا وسلطنة عمان
وأفادت بعض المصادر بأن طهران طلبت نقلها من إسطنبول إلى سلطنة عمان، مع اقتصار المفاوضات على الملف النووي، وحصرها بالجانبين الإيراني والأمريكي. فيما توقع مصدر عربي، اليوم (الأربعاء) أن تعقد المحادثات بين واشنطن وطهران في سلطنة عمان يوم الجمعة القادم، بحسب ما نقل عنه، موقع (إكسيوس).
وحسب رواية المصدر، فقد وافقت إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب على الطلب الإيران بنقل المحادثات من تركيا، لافتاً إلى أن المفاوضات لا تزال جارية بشأن مشاركة دول عربية وإسلامية في المحادثات المرتقبة.
وكان مصدر دبلوماسي إيراني، أعلن أمس (الثلاثاء)، أن طهران «لا متفائلة ولا متشائمة» حيال المحادثات المرتقبة مع الولايات المتحدة. وجدد التأكيد على أن إيران لن تتفاوض بشأن قدراتها الدفاعية.
التهديد بالخيار العسكري
من جانبه، قال الرئيس ترمب في مؤتمر صحفي بالبيت الأبيض إن إدارته تتفاوض الآن مع الجانب الإيراني، ويبدو أنهم يرغبون في التوصل إلى اتفاق، وسنرى ما إذا كان سيتم التوصل إلى أي شيء.. لقد أتيحت لهم فرصة للقيام بشيء ما منذ فترة، لكن الأمر لم ينجح، ولجأنا إلى حلول جذرية ومنها عملية مطرقة منتصف الليل» وأضاف «لا أعتقد أنهم يريدون تكرار ذلك (في إشارة إلى الضربة الأميركية)، لكنهم يرغبون في التفاوض».
وذكرت المتحدثة باسم البيت الأبيض كارولين ليفيت، أن المفاوضات مع طهران لا تزال قائمة رغم إسقاط المسيرة الإيرانية. وقالت ليفيت في مقابلة مع قناة «فوكس نيوز»، تعليقاً على الحادثة: «يستعد المبعوث الخاص ستيف ويتكوف للتفاوض مع الإيرانيين هذا الأسبوع».
ولفتت إلى أن الرئيس الأمريكي «لديه عدد من الخيارات المطروحة بشأن إيران، بما في ذلك استخدام القوة العسكرية».
وكان المتحدث باسم القيادة المركزية الأمريكية (سنتكوم) النقيب تيم هوكينز، أعلن أن مقاتلة أمريكية من طراز «إف-35 سي» أسقطت طائرة مسيرة إيرانية بعد اقترابها بشكل عدواني من حاملة الطائرات الأمريكية «أبراهام لينكولن».

Some sources reported that Tehran requested to move the negotiations from Istanbul to Oman, limiting the discussions to the nuclear file and restricting them to the Iranian and American sides. An Arab source expected today (Wednesday) that talks between Washington and Tehran would take place in Oman next Friday, according to what was reported by the (Axios) website.
According to the source’s account, the administration of President Donald Trump agreed to the Iranian request to move the talks from Turkey, noting that negotiations are still ongoing regarding the participation of Arab and Islamic countries in the upcoming discussions.
An Iranian diplomatic source announced yesterday (Tuesday) that Tehran is “neither optimistic nor pessimistic” about the upcoming talks with the United States. He reiterated that Iran will not negotiate regarding its defensive capabilities.
The Threat of Military Option
For his part, President Trump said in a press conference at the White House that his administration is currently negotiating with the Iranian side, and it seems they want to reach an agreement, and we will see if anything will be achieved. They have had the opportunity to do something for a while, but it hasn’t worked out, and we resorted to radical solutions, including the “midnight hammer” operation. He added, “I don’t think they want to repeat that (referring to the American strike), but they want to negotiate.”
White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt stated that negotiations with Tehran are still ongoing despite the downing of the Iranian drone. Levitt said in an interview with “Fox News,” commenting on the incident: “Special envoy Steve Wittekov is preparing to negotiate with the Iranians this week.”
She pointed out that the American president “has a number of options regarding Iran, including the use of military force.”
The spokesperson for the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), Captain Tim Hawkins, announced that an American fighter jet of the “F-35C” model shot down an Iranian drone after it approached aggressively towards the American aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln.”
