Doha: The Amiri Diwan of Qatar has announced a four-day period of national mourning following the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
According to the Amiri Diwan, the mourning period will begin on Sunday, July 12, 2026.
The Diwan also announced the suspension of work at ministries, government entities, public authorities and institutions starting from Monday, July 13, 2026, with employees scheduled to resume work on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
Flags will be flown at half-mast throughout the country for the duration of the mourning period.
