Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), on Monday, donated 300 road safety barricades to Greater Chennai Traffic Police (GCTP) to enhance traffic management and strengthen road safety infrastructure in the city.
The donation comprised 200 iron barricades, 50 steel barricades, and 50 foldable barricades. The barricades were formally handed over to Greater Chennai Police Commissioner A. Amalraj by C.S. Gopalakrishnan, Trustee, Hyundai Motor India Foundation, and Whole-time Director and Chief Manufacturing Officer of Hyundai Motor India Limited, at the Rajarathinam Stadium.
According to an official release, the initiative is to improve road safety infrastructure and promote safer roads for commuters. The event was attended by Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic B. Shamoondeswari and other officers.
