Another incident of fire on vessel with Indian crew off the Oman coast has come to the fore. The ship, MT Jalveer, had 20 crew members aboard. Five of them were rescued by passing vehicles and taken to Oman, reported Mehr news agency.
Earlier on Wednesday, three Indians were killed in a US strike on another oil tanker MT Settebello. Before that on Monday, another ship with Indian crew members, MT Marivex, was attacked.

The Indian Embassy in Oman has said that it is closely monitoring the situation concerning MT Jalveer. It posted on X: “We have learnt of an incident involving a vessel off Shinas port of Oman, earlier today . We are closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with the local authorities for further details.”
