NELLORE: Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy on Saturday laid the foundation stone for a Shadi Manzil at Jannath Hussain Nagar in the 2nd Division at an estimated cost of ₹70 lakh.
Sridhar Reddy said the facility was a long-standing demand of the local Muslim community and promised to complete Shadi Manzils in the 1st and 2nd divisions with the support of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Municipal Administration Minister Ponguru Narayana.
He said efforts were also under way to secure another ₹80 lakh for constructing the first floor of the facility.
Claiming that the constituency had witnessed unprecedented development over the past two years, Sridhar Reddy said all major promises made to voters during the elections had been fulfilled.
He said development works were also transforming the Nellore City and Rural constituencies. With local body elections approaching, he appealed to people to support alliance candidates, stating that cooperation between local representatives and the ruling government would facilitate development.
TD state spokesperson Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy, Nellore AMC chairman Manubolu Sridhar Reddy and other party leaders and local representatives attended the programme.
