Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda’s wife Chennamma has been admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru with breathing complications.

According to a statement by the hospital, Ms. Chennamma was admitted on Wednesday night, and doctors have observed that she had some chest congestion. However, she is stable and is responding to the treatment, said a statement from Manipal Hospital, Old Airport Road.

“Her blood pressure, pulse, and other vital parameters are within normal limits. However, her respiratory treatment is ongoing at this time. She is being treated under a multidisciplinary team led by doctors Satyanarayana Mysore and Sunil Karanth,” said the statement.
